What exactly is Kung Fu?

Kung Fu (in this case Ving Tsun, pronounced Wing Chun) is an ancient Chinese martial art designed for real self-defense, efficient movement and body control. It trains the body, mind, and reflexes together — not just strength or speed.

Do I need any experience to start?

No! You do not need any prior martial arts experience. Beginners and advanced students are all welcome, and every class is structured so you can grow confidently, step by step.

How old does my child need to be to train?

Children can start as soon as they can follow basic instructions and move safely. We have a structured kids program that builds focus, discipline, and confidence in a fun and safe environment.

How do I sign up for a free trial?

How often should I train?

For best progress, we recommend attending classes at least twice per week, but even once per week can be a great start. The key is consistency and enjoyment.

Can adults train too?

Absolutely. We offer adult classes that focus on real self-defense, fitness, coordination, and mental discipline. You’ll progress at your own pace and work with others at a similar level.

What should I bring to my first class?

Just wear comfortable clothes you can move in. We’ll provide everything else you need for training. If you decide to join long-term, we’ll guide you on appropriate gear.

What happens in a typical class?

Classes combine: • Dynamic warm-ups • Technique drills • Balance & posture exercises • Controlled self-defense movements • Focus & reaction work Every session develops both physical ability and mental awareness.

Are private lessons available?

Yes — 1-to-1 private training with Master Brandon is available for students who want fast, personalized progress. It’s ideal if you're serious about refining technique or accelerating improvement.

Do I have to compete or fight?

No. Competition or sparring is optional and only done when YOU are ready and willing. The primary focus is on discipline, skill, and self-improvement, not forced combat.
